What Minimum Credit Score Is Required?
Hoosier Homes requires a minimum credit score of 620 for all borrowers on the loan — then your first mortgage product and lender overlays must clear as well.
Hoosier Homes requires a minimum credit score of 620 for all borrowers on the loan — then your first mortgage product and lender overlays must clear as well.
Hoosier Homes sets a clear credit floor: minimum credit score of 620 for all borrowers. That applies to every adult on the note — not only the primary applicant.
Your first mortgage still has to approve. FHA, VA, USDA, and HFA conventional products each carry their own credit expectations and AUS findings. Lender overlays can sit above the Hoosier Homes floor, so we underwrite to the stricter applicable rule.
Credit score does not change your assistance percentage. Location decides 4% vs. 5% (Targeted Areas / Hoosier Homes Plus) — score decides whether you clear the program gate.
A clean 620+ score is necessary — not always sufficient on its own.
